It’s every poker player’s dream – turning mere peanuts into a fortune. And apparently, 18-year-old Canadian poker prodigy Domenico Muro did just that. With just $100, Domenico played online poker until $100 became $89,500, this according to Domenico, who told his tale in the Two Plus Two poker forum.
At aged 12, Domenico was inspired by poker pro Tom “Durrr” Dwan and began learning everything he could about the game of poker. How he had started with nothing, just a regular highschool graduate, and using his wits and hard work, created for himself a fortune by mastering this game. ''I was captivated. I was also watching pro poker players on Youtube as much as I could and studying all of their plays, all the way down to the smallest little bet or fold''. Domenico then invested $100 to play on an online poker site and began at the 1c/2c cash tables for 3-4 hours everyday, eventually turning his $100 into $2,500 over the course of 3 weeks. He began working his way up in the stakes until he reached $5/$10 NL Hold’em games – which is when he began to experience a bit of a losing streak, but Domenico pressed on and is now thinking about going into higher cash games.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
