A tipster led police to a gun ditched behind a vacant home after the fatal shooting of Manuel Lopez on Friday
Oct. 21, 2016.

The 17-year-old was gunned down in the middle of the afternoon on a busy street corner in Miami Lakes Florida.

Police believe at least a dozen people saw the shooting, but so far no one has come forward with the information they need to solve the case.

The only people who approached the crime scene tape were pedestrians trying to pass through. They seemed irritated at the inconvenience. A thick pool of blood lay on the sidewalk.

The victims body was unresponsive when police arrived to the scene, he had 3 gun shot wounds in his chest. The suspects gun was found behind an abandoned house 3 blocks away from the shooting. Police are yet to identify the suspect.

Cameras from another business captured the shooting itself. The detectives headed over. An employee had the footage queued up.

The shooting is nearly out of view, and details are difficult to make out, but the actions are clear.

A black vehicle can be seen pulling onto the street corner and then stopping. The victim gets out of the passenger side, greets someone with a fist bump and they walk together toward the corner.

A second man had been with the first man, but now lingers behind as he follows the pair.

There are people milling about and cars passing, but the gunman is undeterred. He accelerates his stride, walks up behind the victim, raises a gun to the back of his head and as the victim turns around shoots him 3 times in the chest.

The victim falls backwards to the ground and lies still.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
