Local south side man, Erik Sotelo, has had a rough life. His father abandoned him while playing a game of "hide and go seek" He says "man, I thought we was playing a game, but that Nigga left for real". Erik Sotelo, now 22, has had to deal with this deep sadness of not knowing his father for years. He finds refuge from these dynamic emotions through a game he invented called "hide and go trap". "Man these mother f***ers* out here steady making fun of the fact that I ain't got no daddy." Sotelo states as he explains how he deals with father's day. Apparently, all his friends taunt him every father's day, ridiculing him at the fact that he really can't spend father's day with his father because..like I said, he left. So instead of crying like a little bitch, erik sotelo now spends every father's day at home, playing "hide and go trap", a game where he stays at home, locked inside, sleeping by the front door, making sure no one else leaves. Will his father ever return? Probably not. It's been a few years already, chances are slim. But the Cubs are in the playoff for the first time in over 100 years so there is still hope. Some say if you look into his eyes long enough, you can still see a glimmer of hope every father's day, hope that one day..his father will come back.
