Lionel Bradberry of Indianapolis, In was praised on Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Hostess Brands for devouring 99 twinkies in 30 minutes during the Hostess Brands Showdown at the Hostess Brands plant on Indy's Eastside.

Plant Manager Golden Twinkle says, "Bradberry is new to the route, but is a fun and interactive guy" and when they asked him to participate in the event he couldn't take "no" for an answer.

Bradberry participated with 14 other plant workers, some of which have been participating in the eating contest for over 20 years. "It was no surprise he beat me", says Cream Filled. "He looks like he loves snacks!". Cream Filled guzzled down 20 Hostess Ding Dongs in 10 minutes last year. She says, she'll be ready for him next year if he shows up.

Bradberry took home the winning prize of 50 boxes of assorted Hostess snacks and the 2016 Twinkie Made Championship Belt. When asked if the contest held up other route stops Bradberry told our news reporter, "No way, I was able to make it to all stops with at least a 5 min delay." His supervisor was unaware of the event until he heard the news from a cousin of the plant who was angered that he was close to winning the contest. Bradberry responded to all of the chaotic excitement by stating, "I got 99 problems but eating Twinkies ain't one."

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
