An aggravated robbery committed by a man armed with a gun was reported at the Jefferson Green Condominiums on Hanover Street in Murfreesboro. The holdup took place around 12:30 on Wednesday afternoon.
The 25 year old victim told police that he just returned from the store when a man in his early 20's approached her on foot and asked if he could "hang" with her. The woman told the unknown man that he was going to sleep and proceeded to move on. At that point the subject reached into his backpack and pulled out a large handgun. The victim told police the gun looked like a Mac 10.
The police report documenting the incident showed that the man appeared to be very angry and aggressive when he yelled "GIVE ME YOUR [BLANK] MONEY." Instead of waiting for the victim to hand over her belongings, the man grabbed her by the back of her hair and pulled her to the ground. He then pointed the gun at her while on the ground and took her purse. The man then left on foot.
No arrests have been made and the case is in the hands of detectives.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
