Scranton man eats $136 million dollar winning ticket after fight with fiancè

Scranton police were called to the home of a couple in Scrantons West side early this morning. Officers were responding to a domestic dispute between a man Jason Laureano and his fiancè who has asked to remain anonymous. According to officer Richard Trickle, Mr. Laureano had several bruises and lacerations on his face and neck. When asked what happened Mr. Laureano did not respond. The female at the residence told the officers that Mr. Laureano won Wednesday's $136 million dollar lottery, and would not give her the ticket. After a scuffle ensued, Mr. Laureano put the ticket in his mouth and started chewing. This enraged the woman who then took out pots and pans and started smashing them over his head to try and get the ticket. Officers did not press charges because they felt the Ass whoopin was justified. Officer Dick Trickle went on record saying "Who eats $136 million bucks?" "I'd have whooped his ass too." PA lottery has responded stating, "If the winning ticket cannot be produced, then the jackpot will carry over into Saturdays jackpot."

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
