As rumors swirled about Michael Jackson's infamous home being for sale, one fan went into action. "I just couldn't imagine his home, that he took so much pride in, being in the hands of someone that could turn it into a strip mall", declared Joi Mitchell, a native Detroiter. She decided to take her heartfelt concern to gofundme.com. The initial asking price for the home was $10 million dollars. "It started off as a joke. I didn't think people would actually donate. But, as the momentum grew and grew, people really started championing for me." Joi has received close to $75 million dollars in donations. She plans on turning Neverland Ranch into a Michael Jackson Museum. There is also talks of a state of the art studio and adding a non-profit entity to help sick children. At a press conference in Ecino, CA holding back tears Joi said, "I just really wanted Michael Jackson's home to be in the hands of someone that really cared for the preservation of his legacy and I know I will do a great job." That's an understatement, many members of the Jackson family have come forward in full support of Joi buying Neverland Ranch. "I couldn't think of anyone else that I would rather see it go to. Joi will make us all proud," says Katherine Jackson as she beamed with pride. Joi is currently working out the plans for this multi-million dollar, multi-faceted, deal with top architects and construction companies. Neverland Ranch is slated to be open May, 2018.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
