A Massachusetts man accused of robbing a bank may have gotten his father involved a crime without him knowing.

Jonathan Prentice was arrested Friday morning after he allegedly robbed a TD Bank in Chelmsford on Thursday afternoon.

Police said Prentice's father told them he drove him to the bank because he told him he was going for a job interview, according to the Lowell Sun.

Sometime between leaving the car and going to the "job interview", the 27-year-old suspect covered his brown hair with a store purchases mullet wig and hat and put on sunglasses, according to a complaint obtained by News 7.

Prentice allegedly entered the bank shortly before 4 p.m and handed the teller handwritten note demanding money:

"You have exactly one minute to give me all your $50 & $100 bills from both your drawers or I will shoot you! No dye packs, no alarms follow these instructions and no one will get hurt, act normal"

Prentice made off with $300 and exited the bank parking lot in an SUV that FBI agents later determined was registered to his father. Prentice's father said he thought the cash his son had was an advance, according to authorities.

A witness reported Prentice after recognizing him as a someone wanted in connection with four other recent robberies, according to the Lowell Sun.

Prentice admitted to committing all five robberies and said he spent the money collected from the most recent heist on DJ equipment.

Jail records show that Prentice is an absolute moron.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
