Entrepreneurship lies untapped in the hearts of many men and women. For one young man however, the dream of business ownership has lived strong for quite some time. Howard Hughes III, 26, is a graduate of Lincoln University in Missouri where he dually majored and completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration as well as a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business degrees, with a minor in Geospatial Information Science. Originally a native of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Hughes currently resides in St. Louis, MO where his endeavors and passion to claim his piece of the American dream are anything but dormant.

Hughes is one of 5 children. His beginnings include overcoming such hurdles as poverty, being raised in a single-parent home, and at one point even, homeless. While his upbringing undoubtedly plays a role in his quest for success and financial independence, his natural knack for leadership and business are the real driving forces for his career path. So far, Howard’s career path has involved a comprehensive range of responsibilities and roles that boast numerous companies include Fortune 500 big wigs. He has managerial experience with upwards of 500 employees, human resource management skills, in depth sales, forecasting and accounting experience, and a thorough knowledge of marketing and promotion. “I am passionate about conducting business efficiently and more importantly, in excellence.” Says Hughes who is currently managing the success of two entrepreneurial entities. This is nothing new for Hughes however, whose professional track record is evidently marked by a trend of serial entrepreneurship. At present, he is the proud owner of HMH Tan & Spa and Howard Hughes Business & Consulting Firm.

In March of 2016, Howard took a chance at partnering with local business owner Kim Taylor who had an extra but dormant space adjacent to her nail salon. “I met with her and we brainstormed about the plethora of service opportunities that her current business was able to accommodate. There was a need present and that’s where entrepreneurship starts.” Says Howard. After negotiations and fine print the two worked on an agreement and Hughes opened his doors for business. HMH Tan & Spa specializes in massage therapy and other services relative to wellness and relaxation. “If there is an opportunity for success, sometimes you have to do what you never thought you’d do.” Says Hughes.

His other endeavor, Howard Hughes Business & Consulting Firm seeks to help men and women embody their own personal dreams of entrepreneurship and success.
“In the same way that I am committed to growth in my own personal life, I am eager to ensure that it also happens for others.” Through his consulting business Howard helps businessmen and women with business plans, obtaining business licenses, marketing, sales training and more.

Howard’s leadership and impact have always been the underlying goals behind both Howard’s professional and personal endeavors.

Howard’s steady climb for success at such a young age is refreshingly indicative of a work ethic and frame of mind that aren’t lost after all in this generation. Through both HMH Tan & Spa and Howard Hughes Business & Consulting, the business and power moves that we’re recently learning of Howard, are certainly far from the last. 2017 and the future at-large are bright for this young man and his dreams.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
