Daytona Beach Police are on the search for a man by the name of Jonathan David Race out of Port Orange, FL.

Police responded to a call they had recieved for a drunk disturbance as well as a possibly sexual assault Friday night at 11:49pm. Local authorities arrived at 12:13am where they met with Race in Razzles nightclub on Seabreeze Blvd. in Daytona Beach. They confronted Race on the reason they were dispatched. Mr. Race was then asked to step outside the club and talk to the authorities, while the alleged victim was to also be removed and spoken with in private. The victim asked that they remain anonymous.

Mr. Race stepped outside to talk with police, and once confronted with the sexual assault calls, he decided to flee. Race was seen last running Northbound on Grandview Ave at 12:37am where he cut across the median at the intersection of Glenview Blvd and N Grandview Ave. Police proceeded to pursue Race in their cruiser, but lost him upon crossing the median. Officers stated that they responded code 3 to Riverview Blvd where they continued to search for Race. They surrendered search at 2:45am Saturday.

The unnamed victim stated that she had never experienced anything like that before. "I asked him to leave me alone after he asked if I wanted to dance. He called me a b**** and stated that he could find someone more attractive than me anyways. Stuff like this happens often at clubs, where [people] are drinking and getting rowdy, so I didn't think anything of it at first." She then proceeded to talk about where things went down hill. "I noticed that he was still watching me from a distance, so I flipped him off and started to look for my friend and her boyfriend in the back. Next thing I know someone grabbed me and I remember a hand reaching for my private parts. He held me there for a short amount of time before a bouncer came up and grabbed him."

The victim, too in tears to finish, just wants justice to be served. Port Orange Police were dispatched to Race's last known address, where his mother resides. Tiffany Sheppard, mother to Jonathan was notified about the incident and asked questions regarding if she knew where Jonathan was last seen. According to the police report, she stated that he was last residing with a friend in South Daytona. South Daytona Police were then notified of the update, and were later dispatched to the Bristol Bay apartment complex located off Reed Canal Rd. A resident who we spoke to earlier today stated that Race had moved out and they weren't sure where he went to.

Daytona Beach Police are asking everyone to keep their eyes open for this man. Described as a 19y.o. white male approximately 6' 0" and weighing ~160lbs. Last seen near N Grandview Ave in Daytona Beach, his current whereabouts are unknown. Anyone with any information will be rewarded for calling Crime Stoppers at (386)405-6233 immediately.

We thank everyone for any information they may provide ahead of time.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
