A 18-year-old young women rushed to the hospital after being in a traumatic collision on Killeen's Stagecoach Road Friday evening, police said.

The young lady was identified as Lauren Brush, a Killeen resident.

Police responded to a 9-1-1 call about a crash in the 4400 block of Stagecoach Road, which involved a Dodge Charger and a Chevy Truck just before 10 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2013 Dodge Charger was traveling westbound on Stagecoach Road and a 2015 Chevy truck was traveling eastbound on Stagecoach Road, according to a Killeen Police Department news release. The Driver of the Charger going 60 mph was reaching down to send a text message and wasn't aware of the Chevy but, once awared swerved to the right and ran off bridge.

Brush was taking to Seton Medical Center in Harker Heights and was reported to be in critical condition. This crash continues to be investigated and information will be released as it becomes available.

The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
