Wanted Fugitive apprehended In Whitehall Deli

A Franklin County man who was on the Most Wanted List for almost two years has been captured in Ohio and will be extradited to Florida, Franklin County Sheriff Jack Kemler said.

Tyler Michael Schwenke A.k.a. Schwank Stank, 19, had warrants out for his arrest for failure to appear in DE Superior Court in August of 2016 on charges of Possesion w Intent to Distribute, Carrying a Concealed Firearm, Violation of Probation and Assault 3rd Degree

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Unit discovered Schwenke was in Whitehall, Ohio, following an exceedingly active investigation to find him.

The U.S. Marshals Service Ohio Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended Schwenke on Monday, October 31st, on behalf of the Sheriff s Office (in a cooperative effort). He was taken into custody without incident from a local Deli.

“I am grateful to the US Marshals and the local authorities in Whitehall for their efforts to help capture one of Ohio's Most Wanted,” Kemler said. “The entire effort to track down and apprehend Schwenke is a model of interagency cooperation.”

Schwenke, whose last known address was in Naples, Florida, will be held in the Franklin County Jail while awaiting extradition.

He is currently being held at the Franklin County Corrections Center awaiting court appearance.

The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
