At a sitting of castlebar district court Nov1st David Kilkenny of Falleighter Aghamore Ballyhaunis co Mayo stood before judge Mary Devens on several charges including Drink driving and Dangerous driving.
The court heard that the farm manager of frank Harringtons industrial farm had been drinking heavily on the night of the incident which occurred February last. He then proceeded to race threw the streets of claremorris at high speeds until, at 1:43am the collision occurred.
A female witness at the sceane who had been working in the mcwilliam hotel that night said "I think he aimed to hit the car, it wasn't an accident, but I think he was an accident" showing threw anger of what's she had witnessed Katie said she hopes the other driver is okay and that's Mr.Kilkenny gets the punishment he deserves.
Mr.Kilkenny is well known to gardi in the area and no stranger to castlebar district court, describing himself as " The king of Aghamore" Mr Kilkenny showed no to little remorse for his actions.
Mr Odwyer representing Mr Kilkenny described his client as being a "bit of a mad bastard" but a good laugh and a sound sorta skin
Towards the end of the court case it is believed Mr Kilkenny informed the court that it was not him but his girlfriend "demity Walsh" that was driving the car that night and not him so more or less she's gonna get 6 years in prison for it like, but like that's rallying.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
