Carlo Lim, 15, almost got robbed by 7 other guys in an alley in Quezon City, Philippines.

Bystanders stated "That he (Carlo) was walking near an alley in Common Wealth when three older guys came up to him trying to open and take his bag from him." Renato Blancaflor, a tricycle driver around Common Wealth saw the incident and said "Hindi natakot yung bata, (The kid wasn't scared.) kalmado pa nga siya eh (He was calm.)" And stated that the kid started the first punch "Una siyang sumuntok dun sa dalawang mas malaki sa kanya (He was the first to throw punches right at the two bigger guys.) narinig ko yung biyak ng buto sa isa sa mga lalaki nuong sinapak niya (I heard a crack on the skull of one of the guys when he threw the punches.) pagkatapos nun tumakbo isa sa kanila nag tawag pa ng apat na rugby boys (One of them came running and called for back up.)" Fearing that the teenager might get beat up, Mang Renato called for help but "Pero sabi nung bata kaya na niya daw yun (But the kid said he was in control of the situation.)" Mang Renato stated that when the 4 other guys came, Carlo threw kicks and punches like he was in a sparring match. Until being put to hold of the robbery by the barangay captain. The 4 robbers was caught and taken to the barangay hall. Carlo in the other hand had few bruises and cuts. He stated nothing about the robbery fearing his parents might get angry about the incident.

The teenager is currently a advocate of the anti-bullying campaign in the Philippines and currently a white belt in Jiu Jiutsu.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
