November 4, 2016 Rugby, VA:
Award winning luthier W.C. "Wayne" Henderson has ended his 50 + year relationship building some of the world's most sought after acoustic guitars in order to start a solid body guitar manufacturing plant in Rugby, VA.
Henderson said recently, "I have always been a avid heavy metal music fan, and feel now that it is the time in my life to make my contributions to the players of the world of this wonderful musical art, and how best can I do it, but by building some of the best solid body guitars that a player could ever want. I will be using all my exotic woods to make some of the most desirable solid body guitars of all time. After building acoustics for the past 50 plus years, and with around 700 in the world it is time for me to make this change. I have some great players with my guitars in their hands such as, Vince Gill, Allen St. John, Steve Kilby, Mac Wiggins, Jim Lloyd, Eric Clapton, and nameless others. I will end the acoustic process at the end of this year and begin taking orders for the new solid bodies starting in December."
The new factory will be build among the Christmas trees in Rugby Valley and is expected to employ a few thousand. There is an expected immediate housing shortage and old camper trailers and retired school buses are going at premium rates.
Henderson's daughter Elizabeth Jayne is expected to handle the CEO duties while Wayne can focus on building quality solid body guitars. The guitars are expected to be priced in the range of Fender Squires and best selling writer Allen St. John is expected to receive serial 1 of the new Henderson Mongoose model solid body for making Henderson famous in his book, Clapton's guitar.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
