The name has a familiar name and it should as the infamous name was tied to Hollywood as Joe Pesci played Chicago outfit member Anthony "The Ant" Spilotro. Now 30 plus years later another Spilotro has came under the federal governments watchful eye as Chicago native Richard Spilotro is someone the Feds think you should know.

Spilotro (37 years old), has eeerily similarities to his cousin who Director Martin Scorcesse brought to the big screen. Both grew up on Grand and Western, then moved towards the Brickyard area of Chicago which is located on the Northwest side of Chicago minutes away from known organized crime suburb Elmwood Park. Public records available via freedom of information act shows Spilotro lived only blocks away from the Outfits leader Joey "The Clown" Lombardo was nabbed after going on the run, he later was guilty in Operation Family Secrets, one of those murdered included Spilotro's grandfathers cousin Anthony and Michael Spilotro.

History repeats itself

It appears as history repeats itself as the younger Spilotro has a history of illegal activities that mimics the late Anthony Spilotro. According to FBI agent Michael Schnielli today criminals can be more dangerous mainly due to caution many individuals use, certain applications are encrypted making law enforcement officers job much harder. We keep our eyes on everyone coming up the ranks, however we feel we made a massive dent in organized crime after Family Secrects and will continue to bring down anyone involved in crimes using the RICO act.

Richard is a unique individual as he is half Italian and half Italian and his connections to street gangs can be an very useful tool to the outfit especially since they are on the ropes.

One thing is certain is that the long famous name has someone law enforcement is watching and maybe just maybe we are watching another crime figure that Chicago craves to love.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
