NEW YORK — Former Gov. Rick Perry and President-elect Donald Trump have signed an agreement to end coal in all 50 states. The former Republican rivals met for about 90 minutes early Monday morning to discuss their new energy strategy as Trumps cabinet picks continue to be selected.

"This is a great, great idea. This is the best idea and this is going to make America great again" President Elect Donald Trump stated after signing the agreement into law.

Energy and Coal specifically are the departments that Perry vowed to eliminate during the 2012 campaign but couldn't remember in his infamous "oops" moment — a memory lapse during a 2011 GOP debate that hobbled his presidential ambitions. It's unclear whether his mission in Trump's administration would include disbanding Solar and Wind energy sources in addition to coal.

Perry is expected to face fierce scrutiny over his ties to the Petroleum Industry. When he left office, he joined the corporate boards of two companies run by Dallas billionaire Kelcy Warren. And in his long Texas political career, he drew significant campaign donations from Petroleum Energy executives. Currently both Trump and Perry stand to profit in the billions of dollars from the increase in Petroleum costs and the expected rise in gasoline prices due to the eradication of all other energy sources.

On Monday afternoon, Perry strode past reporters and photographers at Trump Tower, boarding an elevator without making eye contact. He returned to the lobby about 90 minutes later and bumped into retired Army Gen. Michael Flynn, Trump's pick for national security adviser, waiting for an elevator back upstairs. They chatted briefly. Perry flashed a thumbs-up to a passer-by. Then he walked off, again without talking with reporters.
He ignored a shouted question about how much profit he expects to receive from the signing of the new US Energy agreement and whether he will abolish all other forms of industry except Petroleum products.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
