SoCal residents are no strangers to the annually held electronic dance music festival! Having it been orginiated in the San Fernando valley and later on located to the Los Angeles coliseum, many residents were able to part take in the festivities over the years until its removal from the LA county in 2010. Some things SoCal residents don't know Is towards the end of its residing years in LA tourism sky rocketed and set national records for attendees at a music festival in the 21st century. With EDC now located in Las Vegas and already by its self it attracts quite the tourism its self there's been a surprise in the fact that EDC Las Vegas has yet to break the attendance record of 200,000 people! Speculation calls to say ticket cost, traveling, and hotels have become overwhelmingly high! So in effort to push out the old and bring the new the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority are offering a thousand tickets! Now why SoCal residents you may ask? Well; Mayor Carolyn Goodman says, "We see it best that if were at least going to take your (SoCal) record you might as well enjoy the ride!". It is a first come first serve basis so you have to be ready with a California ID or drivers license if that can not be provided have a picture ready of your utility bill to upload as proof!

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
