As of 1st March 2017 the fine and points have doubled from £100 Fine and 3 Points for anyone using a device which has access to the internet.

Any drivers caught Holding, Touching or even having a device on display can expect to receive a new higher Fine of £200 and 6 POINTS on there licence.

New drivers will automatically loose there licence if they are caught Using a Device while there Engine is on.

Drivers have to be PARKED and have there ENGINE OFF, Failing to have the vehicles engine off when using any device will result in 6 points and a £200 Fine.

The new rules has started some confusion.

A DVLA spokesman reported to us that Anyone using there phone for calls, Texts and even Internet on any device and even just touching a device will be liable for 6 points and a £200 Fine, This includes Mobiles and Tablets being used as satnavs, To use a phone or any other device the driver MUST be PARKED and have there ENGINE OFF.

There are reports of Cameras being put in places all over the UK to detect people using there phone while driving, Reports of these could automatically issue a NIP even if you just slightly touch your head. A similar device is used in America to detect people not wearing Seat Belts.

The advice by the Police is to simply put your Phone or any Device which can access the internet into the glove box or boot, This will give all drivers a distraction free drive. A Police spokesman has said that there police officers are on a bonus per offence, This will help make the police service want to prevent these road Issues.

Any device with internet access including Phones can NOT be used at any time and can NOT be within view or reach of the driver. Phones should NOT be on the Dashboard or attached to the windscreen.

GPS location satnavs can not be within reach of a driver and should not be attached to the windscreen, Drivers must be PARKED and have there ENGINE OFF to use the device and must not touch the device at any time with the engine on.

Anyone with any confusion on the Rules should simply put there phone in a unreachable location along with any other devices. And GPS devices should be placed in a unreachable place in the vehicle.

If the police see any device on show they may pull the vehicle over, If there is any device within arms reach of the driver the driver will be liable for Points and A Fine, And drivers within the last 2 years will loose there licence, The VEHICLE will also be taken by the Police.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
