Local Philadelphia man was arrested for scamming restaurants in 2016, was offered a plea deal when prosecutors discovered it was too expensive to incarcerate him, according to the Neshoba Democrat.
Jacob Sistrunk, 20 is infamous for ordering food and then complaining about the quality and refusing to pay after he eats it.
The obese thief once devoured five milk shakes before finding a hair in the shake and refusing to pay.
Sistrunk was arrested yesterday after downing nearly $50 of beef jerky from a Main-Street Junction, then claiming the last few scraps were moldy.
Police tracked him down at home and arrested him.
"The beef jerky got me," Sistrunk said on his way to Jail.
After Sistrunk was charged with five counts of felony petty theft, he became ill and bedridden. He now resides at East Mississippi State Hospital and relies on a respirator to breathe.
After prosecutors discovered that the state would have to foot the bill for Sistrunk's medical care they offered a plea deal.
"He's in his prison cell," said Assistant State Attorney Hunter Avera. "He's not getting out of that bed."

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild.
