Three Syrian men have been accepted into the United States refugee program and escaped Syria by pretending to be Samoan.
Benjamin Amasiah Sr, Benjamin Amasiah Jr and Jacob Amasiah have been trying to escape Syria since the war first broke out in 2012.

They came up with the incredible plan to forge passports and pretend to be Samoan business men, searching for the perfect location to open a pineapple bar. They shortened their last name to Ama because it sounded more Samoan, and began eating all of the neighbors food so they can grow to the size of the average Samoan.

Jacob said "when we first arrived to the Syrian border, the guards were very suspicious". One guard reportedly told Benjamin jr, who now goes by "booboo" that he was "too fat" to be Samolian. Booboo told us he explained to the guard that "Samoans and Somalians are completely different in every way" but the guard didn't like that, and began striking him in the feet with a chain. He said as a result, he now has feet that look worse than Mr. Deeds feet.

Now, all three men live in an undisclosed location in the United States and are reportedly doing well. Benjamin Sr sells oranges on the side of the freeway to help pay for food. They are continuing to call themselves Samoan and no longer attend mosque, but attend a local Samoan church.
Jacob is said to be the biggest Syrian in history, but due to the records building being destroyed in Aleppo, he said he'll just continue to eat as much food as possible just in case there is a Syrian who is close to his size.
Booboo and Jacob want to become models for the smallest life jackets in the world, and reportedly have contracts with baby gap.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
