Eddie Vedder, lead singer of grunge band Pearl Jam, has been found dead at his home in Seattle. At this stage in the investigation, it is suspected that he suffered a heart attack. An autopsy will be performed to provide a definitive answer.

Born in Illinois in 1964, grunge rock icon Eddie Vedder joined the band that became Pearl Jam in 1990. Their first album, Ten (1991), became a huge hit on the strength of tracks like "Alive," and "Jeremy," and their two follow-up records also went multiplatinum. Along with his longtime association with the band, the musician has contributed to numerous films, with his work for Into the Wild (2007) doubling as his first solo album. Vedder is also a noted activist, having raised funds for various causes, most notably the release of the West Memphis Three from prison.

Vedder is leaving behind his wife Jill McCormick and two daughters, Olivia and Harper Moon. After the recent loss of Soundgarden's Chris Cornell, the news of Eddie Vedder has hit the music industry when it was already at its worst.

The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
