If you attended Farmingdale highshool between the years 2007-2010 you probably never heard of Brian Alferi. The name Alferi might sound familiar but that's because Brains younger sister Marie is loved by famous Farmingdale alumni Kenneth Lutz. Brian never played high school football because he was never good enough. He'll tell you "the coaches didn't like me" but we've all heard that excuse 1000 times. Well now Brian is trying to prove his "haters" wrong in a bizarre way. The nobody in college is trying to make a living out of football.....flag football. If you told people a man was trying to make a career out of flag football 5 years ago they would laugh, and that's the same reaction you get today. Trying to make a career out of flag football is like trying to make a career out of playing manhunt or capture the flag. Friends and family have allowed Brian to put all his energy and effort into flag football despite it being one of the useless activities a grown man can do. An activity that is very exciting on random summer Sunday's with friends is now Brian's life. Brian has also stolen the catchphrase from the 76ers hashtagging "trust the process" on many instagram photos. This is just adds to the humor of the situation to me and the rest of normal people in society, but to Brian, this is life and he'll die before getting a real job with real money

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
