An Illinois woman hopes to warn others after a frightening encounter she said she had at a local grocers in Illinois last week.

Susan Hanson wrote on Facebook that she was shopping at a local Johnsons Supermarket when a man approached her and started a conversation.

The man began by asking her if she was interested in applying for a credit account at the store, but Hanson said "that's not the freaky part".

After she replied that yes, she would like to open a credit account at the store, the man began asking some very personal questions and writing the answers down on a clipboard.

Hanson states the man was asking questions such as "Where do you work?" and "How much money do you earn?".
Hanson states that it just got too personal when the man actually asked her for her home address.

“I was terrified at this point. I didn't know who he was, and the only thing identifying him was the "manager" name tag that he was wearing".

It wasn’t until Hanson began blowing on the emergency whistle and spraying the man with pepper spray that she carries that she says the man “practically ran away.”

Still, she claims he continued to roll around on the floor in the area for several minutes before crawling off entirely.
“Please be careful ladies, if you go to a grocery store alone make sure someone knows where you are and bring protection!” Hanson said. “I don't think a man has EVER made me that uncomfortable and scared for my safety.”

Local police did not immediately respond to a request for comment surrounding the event, but have reported that they are investigating the incident.
Last month, the department said it was called to a McDonalds for a similar suspicious incident where a man, also wearing a name tag and standing behind a counter began asking another woman what she would like to eat.
According to the local Police Superintendent, police are increasing patrols at local businesses.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
