It started with a swimming pool and has now lead to the excavation of back and front yards through out Fountain Valley, California.

"We were just having a new pool put in, when the work crew manager came in and asked us if we knew anything about a gold nugget he found. The nugget itself was amazing to find, as it was valued at over $2,000. But, when we went back out and continued to pull dirt and rocks we were amazed to find a rich vein of gold with a now estimated value of well over $3 million. That is just in my back yard. The neighbors have also began work and found a continue pay streak that flows through our entire block and into the Bushard Street, so who knows how far it goes and how much it is worth." said local resident Bill Thaller

Geologists have already sampled the material and review the soil with startling results. From University of California, Riverside Geologist Frank Calte stated, "The find is significant. You just don't know how large the gold deposits are from this ancient riverbed until it is played out."

Property values have sky rocketed in the neighborhoods in a two block radius. A few of the neighbors came forward to admit they had know for years and kept it quiet which explained some of the "McMansions" built throughout the track. One resident who chose to remain anonymous admitted he currently owned four surrounding houses after he had similar results nearly a decade ago.

The geologist made it clear that it could end abruptly or be an absolutely amazing find. For the residents of Fountain Valley off Bushard Street between Talbert and Garfield streets, the future may be truly golden and as the city motto goes, "a nice place to live"!

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
