On Friday 21st July a brutal attack took place in the Kelloe area of Durham.
Jade Harris, 18, living in the Durham area was walking to her Grandmother's house yesterday morning when 2 men jumped on the youngster and dragged her to the floor. 3 other men joined in and repeatedly punched and kicked Jade back to the floor as she tried to get back onto her feet! Seconds later 1 of her attackers pulled out a knife and "slashed" her across her back while the others laughed and cheered him on... Jade had been kicked in the head and was unconscious, luckily there was eye witnesses. Eye witness 1 and 2 (Ryan Turnbull) (Kelvin Sanderson) stated "The cruel scumbag struck her lower leg and her neck with a big knife while the other ones stamped on her". Ryan said " I've known Jade since she moved into the area and she is a really lovely lass". Eye witness 3 (Audrey Peterson) stated "I was shaking and crying watching them constantly beat her knowing she wasnt capable of doing anything, I gemuinley thought she was going to die" Audrey told the police of her involvement with Jade Harris and how she knows her. "She is a respectful and polite young woman" "Considering I'm old and have difficulty walking I have to use a walking stick, in December last year when it was icey I slipped down a hill 5 minutes away from my home, Jade ran over and helped me up and insisted to walk me home I asked if she could help me bring my shopping inside she said of course, as we got inside she said you sit down and relax I'll get you a drink and something to eat while I put your shopping away" "Now Jade comes round my house on Saturdays and I give her my list of shopping and she goes and collects what I need, every week I offer her £30 for helping me out she refuses and tells me she wouldn't ever dream of taking money off me, I have never met such an amazing and outstanding girl she has such a kind heart I couldn't ever fault her". The well known female was left for dead! Thankfully the Police and Emergency Services were called. Jade was taken to hospital in which she was unconscious for 2 hours surrounded by her friends and family. 1 man has been arrested and is in police custody until his court date which will be held on 7th November 2017. The other 4 men have not yet been arrested as nor Jade or any of the witnesses know of them. Jade Harris has been left with wounds to her neck, leg and her back along with a broken ankle, fractured hip, and a bruised face.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
