Norman, OK - On Thursday afternoon a former football player for the university of Oklahoma, Anthony Fogle, told local Oklahoma City Radio station WFAN that he was "paid to play at the university of Oklahoma" and that he "knows of at least 20 other players that were compensated for their commitments to play for the University". This is a striking contrast to the reputation of Stoops as he coached the Oklahoma program for 18 years without any NCAA violations or investigations.

Fogle went on to tell the host of WFAN that he was given cars, jewelry and money on a regular basis and that he knows for sure that many other players received the same compensation. The biggest revelation may have occurred when Fogle was discussing the recruitment of former Sooner (and current Miami Dolphin) Kenny Stills. Fogle said that he has copies of an email conversation that took place on November 5th, 2009 between then offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson and the mother of Kenny Stills. Fogle says that the email breaks down how much Stills would be paid upon committing to the Sooners and the payments that would follow monthly as long as Still remained with the program. In addition Fogle says that Wilson discussed the purchase of a new car for the Stills family.

Needless to say, if the information that has come to light is accurate the University of Oklahoma football program may be in for a long investigation, followed by severe sanctions. Kenneth Jamison, head of the NCAA investigating committee, when contacted about the news said "We are aware of the current information and will be moving forward to determine the next steps". Former University of Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops, current athletic director Joe Costiglionne and university president Boren were all contacted but have yet to reply or release a statement.

From the sounds of the information Fogle provided today, the University of Oklahoma may once again be facing a long period of probation which will coincide with the hiring of new University of Oklahoma football coach Lincoln Riley. In addition, this entire story is a complete farse and wholly made up in an attempt to fool someone. If you believe any of this to be true, then you are a moron.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
