A Porterville Walmart employee is facing criminal charges after officers said he came to work drunk and then threatened his co-workers while they pinned him down.

The incident was all caught on camera by Jesse Oneil. He said he filmed it because he doesn't think it was fair for the supervisors to keep him on the ground.

Officers said Cirilo Tavares was threatening those co-workers and that they were worried about their safety.

They said managers at the store felt he had been drinking either before or during work on Wednesday, They said he was inside the store knocking over items on the shelves and a shopping cart.

Officers said he then tried to assault a manager. At some point, he was escorted out of the store by supervisors. He apparently started to threaten them so they pinned him to the ground while they waited for the Porterville Police Department to get there.

Luis said he felt the supervisors were too rough with Tavares.

"Big scene, definitely. He ran out everybody was like 'oh, what's going on' because stuffs getting knocked off the shelves and you know, it was pretty crazy. I just felt bad for him. No one was on that guys side," Luis said.

We also reached out to Walmart to get their take on the incident.

Here's what they had to say:

"We were concerned about this associate's behavior toward customers and other associates in our store and called the police for help. We are continuing to look into the specifics of all that happened."

Officers didn't witness most of this, so Cirilo was placed under citizens arrest.

He is now being charged with a felony for making criminal threats and with resisting arrest.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
