Students of an online English class offered through the Yakima Valley College have been unknowingly participating in a government funded experiment. The 19 students in reference have been blindly annotating and deciphering real and fake news articles from all around the U.S. so the government can better write and publish fake news about how well they are doing that appears real.

After reading, summarizing and annotating what they claim to be their "hundredth" article of the quarter, one student who only goes by the online name NoMoreSummaries claims "after spending 10 hours a day investigating these news stories, I couldn't take it anymore. I thought that something had to be going on for us to have to spend so much time discovering real from fake news". The student then explained that they discovered all of the news stories they were sorting out as real and fake honoring and complementing every more the government made, to be recirculating around the internet with more false facts and better credentials, publishing dates and grammar than the originals. This is when they knew something was going on and shared the information with the rest of their fellow students.

The English class has been cancelled and the school is being looked into to find out what other classes the government might be using to have students unconsciously do their work for them. The students are still dealing with what they refer to as trauma from so many summaries and annotations.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
