STARKVILLE, Miss -- Morgan William knows a few things about taking down sports giants. That is why MSU football coach Dan Mullen is working with William to install a special “Itty Bitty” offensive package for the upcoming matchup with perennial powerhouse Alabama. The 5’ 5” senior will be the first woman to ever be listed on an SEC football roster.

"Big challenge for our guys this week playing one of the best teams in the country," Mullen said. "A team that's really been the dominant program in all of college football over the last 10 years. What they are able to do on the football field is almost identical to what UConn has been doing in women’s basketball for the past several years. That is why we thought about Morgan and what she brings to the table with her experience.”

The Birmingham, Alabama native is looking forward to the unique opportunity to face the “giant” from her home state. “You know, she is from Alabama so she understands the importance of this game and she knows how to perform on a big stage,” said Mullen. “Our guys definitely respect what she has been able to do on the court throughout her career and have enjoyed the energy she has brought to the practice field this week.”

When asked about her unique position Willam said, “It is definitely a different experience for me, but I'll be ready if they need me.” Mullen was not willing to provide much information about the new package, but said that it will be ready “just in case we need it in the 4th Quarter.”

When asked if he considered reaching out to UConn women’s basketball coach Geno Auriemma for advice Alabama coach Nick Saban said, “I respect what Geno has been able to do with his teams, but my job is to keep our team focused on our process and that is what we are going to do. Next question.”

Alabama’s defense, which lost two linebackers to injury last week, will face one of the most dynamic and diverse backfields in the conference on Saturday. Mississippi State quarterback Nick Fitzgerald along with running back Aeris “A-Train” Williams and newcomer William will look to slay another giant under the lights of Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville.

If it happens, “Itty Bitty” will once again have a large impact on the sports world and create a major shake up in the College Football Playoff.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
