In the most far left and civil country in the modern world Northerners are going to be tested on December 15 when citizens are to vote in a special election to restrict the role of the Prime Minister in determining citizenship of immigrants.
The constitutional amendment known as the Citizenship Accessibility Act would take away the constitutional powers of the Prime Minister who is also Sovergin to decide who can and who cannot come into the country under Articles 17 and 18.
Many citizens are split on the new amendment and most of the members of Parliament are opposed to the changing of the constitution. The bill created by a Royal Lord Member Dean Coleman says that the new constitutional amendment will really prove to the rest of world how open we really are. The fact that one person decides who can become a citizen is highly immoral and contrary to a fair and open society.
However, the Royal Ministry of Colonization and Immigration Services which advises the Sovergin on citizenship matters opposes the bill saying that the only reason Northernland is a open society is because of our strict laws and amendments protecting Northernland liberalism and customs.
The fact remains, that regardless of the intention of the bill this change to our consitutionality will destroy our far left and free society. We just can't let everyone into our country simply because they are Negros or Muslims, in fact many of these minority groups are ultra conservative and would spread inter-community violence amongst are free spirited, sexually open and gay friendly society.
Most law experts say the bill to amend the Charter is unlikely to pass given the extreme difficulty of changing the amendment.
According to Law Professor Sarah Jane Mary of the University of Diana its very hard to change the charter. In order for that to happen the majority of the citizenry would have to vote yes and every member of Parliament has to approve of the change. Its impossible under Northernland Law which is a hybrid of English and American Common Law to change anything. You would have to the social upheaval in the style of the 1970s to change anything. The last time the amendment was changed was in 1975 after five new amendments were added to the constitution.
For now, the Commonwealth of Northernland is facing a challenge to her suppose open society that will truly test the freedom and liberation of Northernland society.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
