Carlos Talks to XXL About His Debut Album 'Insomnia'

After exploding onto the music scene this year thanks to his breakout records "Ballin" featuring Meek Mill & "Nowhere". As he later received a co-sign from Cory Gunz & being named 'Breakout Artist of 2017' by Hot 97 last October, fast-rising Bronx rapper Carlos has seen a pretty meteoric rise to success over the past year or so and he's just getting started. Later this year, the 18-year old rapper will release his highly anticipated debut album called "Insomnia", which is being led by the singles "Ballin Remix" featuring Bils, Lacrim, Yaka, Omi & Franco & his newest release "Let's Get Personal" featuring label mate PnB Rock. At midnight, the album was officially made available for pre-order, ultimately revealing the tracklist in the process.
Laced with 15 tracks & a secret bonus track in total, the follow up to his 'very rare' EP will feature guest appearances from PnB Rock, Jay Critch, Trippie Redd, Chief Keef, Wiz Khalifa & Rick Ross.
While being interviewed, Carlos told XXL:
"The album about to be brazy. Stuff is about to be different, man. I ain't gonna lie, it's gonna be different vibes on this project. You're going to hear vibes that you're familiar with & vibes that are new to you. It's gonna be tons of bangers in there, but I threw different types of vibes in it that I don't really go on. So I got a song with PnB on there, Sosa on there, Trippie on it too, of course Wiz is on it, Jay Critch on there & Ross on there. I'm about to take over 2018. Oh & if you haven't seen my Instagram story I have this song on the album it for this girl I talk to. I pitched the idea to my producer & we made it happen, so I'll be posting a snippet on my SoundCloud soon. The concept of the song is basically a letter telling her everything. She's going to know who I really am by the time the song ends. To be honest, I don't really know what her reaction will be but I know for a fact she's going to like it. "

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
