For some Bobble Head Collectors the thrill is in the hunt. A local Grafton collector may have found one of the rarest Bobble heads to exist with ties to a Hall Of Fame Quarterback.

Bobble head collecting is considered one of the fastest growing hobbies today. For over the last 10 years, Major league and Minor league baseball teams across the country as well as hockey, the NBA, and the NCAA are all using bobble heads as a way to entice fans to come to the games.

Facebook has exploded with sites such as bobblehead exchange, WoBBLIN HeADS, Bobbleheadmania and The Wisconsin Bobblehead and SGA exchange, devoted to the Buying Selling and Trading of Bobbleheads

Collectors and dealers daily search the isles of second hand stores such as Goodwill and St Vincent DePaul, rummage sales and even nursing homes looking to fill the holes in their collection or if luck would have it a holy grail.

There are common bobble heads, retro bobble heads and then The "Holy Grail's"
In Wisconsin "The Iceman" "Mark Attanasi" and "Bill Hall Track Suit" are considered the Holy Trinity or the holy grail's of bobble heads, because of their low production numbers, their value is skyrocketing. At one time these grails could be had at $350 to $500, but now sellers are using raffles to achieve higher prices. It is not unheard of to see one of these grails fetch between $1000 to $1300.

Searching the isles of The Goodwill in Grafton, a Grafton collector came across a bobble head that resembled the former GM of the Green bay Packers Ron Wolf. For $1.99 he took a gamble and purchased the find. He said, "When you see something you have never seen before, the rule is you buy it." Not knowing exactly what it was he did some research, Was it an official bobble head or some worthless custom job? As It turns out it was a custom order with ties to a Hall of Fame Quarterback.

The Story of the Holy-est of all Bobble Head Grail's is that in 2006 Hall of fame quarterback Brett Farve had 5 Custom made Ron Wolf Bobble heads for Christmas presents to commemorate the 1996 Superbowl, He kept one for himself and gifted the other 4 to pals Mark Chmura , Frank Winters, Coach Holmgren and one to Ron Wolf himself.

So what is a Bobble head worth that has ties to an NFL legend? only the marketplace and the future knows. When asked what he is going to do with his $1.99 Goodwill find, the collector said he did not know, he considered putting it out on one of the Facebook sites or creating a raffle, but right now it looks good on his mantle

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
