The future of HBO's flagship series is in jeopardy, after several women came out publicly to accuse 'Game of Thrones' star Kit Harrington of sexual misconduct.

Actress Violet Hanman claimed the actor once sexually assaulted her when she was underage and tried to lure her 17-year-old friend to his hotel room.

"Cute TimesUp pin Kit Harrington. Remember the time you pushed my head down in a car towards your exposed penis & that other time you told my friend to come to your hotel when she was 17? After you had already been caught doing that to a different 17 year old?" she wrote on Twitter.

Hanman, who clarified that she was a teen at the time, added that she did have a consensual relationship with Harrington, but that the alleged encounter she mentioned was against her will. Hanman did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The testimonies of the two other women that came forward reflected Hanman's account—both detailing involuntary sexual encounters with Harrington that occurred while they were still underage.

In response to the mounting sexual assault allegations against the actor, HBO dropped Harrington from its award-winning original series, "Game of Thrones". The premium-cabler has also reportedly removed all references from its HBO NOW platform to the recently released miniseries "Gunpowder," which stars and is produced by Harrington.

"HBO will not be involved with any further production of 'Game of Thrones' that includes Kit Harrington," HBO Programming Chief Casey Bloys said in a statement Tuesday. "We are suspending production effective immediately, and will begin discussions with the show-runners during this hiatus time to evaluate our path forward as it relates to the show."

David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the showrunners behind "Game of Thrones," released a statement as well, saying "While HBO begins their investigation into the serious allegations concerning Kit Harrington's behavior, the production of the latest season has been suspended indefinitely, effective immediately. While the future of the show is still in question, if HBO allows production to continue, it would do so without Kit Harrington in any capacity whatsoever. "

In a scenario where production on "Game of Thrones" resumes, whether Harrington's role of 'Jon Snow' would be re-cast or simply written out altogether is uncertain. Harrington has also been dropped by his publicist and talent agency, CAA as allegations continue to emerge. A publicist for Kit Harrington issued a statement to the New York Times saying the actor is "beyond remorseful" and is seeking unspecified "evaluation and treatment."

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
