On a cold snowy January day 22 hopeful college English students headed to the hills in the hopes to be millionaires and no longer the person known to be enrolled in agnizing college courses. The 22 students in their efforts packed into a 1968 volkswagen bug that was locked and loaded with an outrageous color scheme that said “Let's Rock and Roll Baby” and headed for the beautiful large hills of Naches, Washington. As the students packed in the vehicle drove through the caves and rocky mountains they began determined to win this war and prove that they will no longer be that boring college student.

As their English teacher begged them on her knees to stay and not leave they laughed. Her begging did not work at all and sent her into heartfelt tears because she no longer would have to grade her favorite papers. They left in hopes of being the richest students around and not having to go back to doing those SQRQ’s and those annoying 5 question quizzes. The assignments that all started this road trip.

One student ready leave stated: “I’m done with this stressful, aging place called college, I’m just done, I want to be a millionaire, so why wouldn’t I take this opportunity” but unwilling to share their name because they were worried that when they return people would try to steal there millionaire title and all their hard work would go down the drain. Another student explaining: “The assignments literally give me heart attacks, I hate this and am looking forward to not having to come back, I better find gold because I can’t take this anymore.” This student deeply afraid to share her identity.

The students say they will work together to receive all the gold they need to be millionaires. There plan consists of staying in a tent for many weeks and using there gold pans to receive all the gold. For finding the gold they explained that they will use the rivers and clay found in Naches. They also said that they will play in the snow while working and use the volkswagen to get around in the deep cold snow. They are hopeful to come back happier than ever and have consistent smiles instead of cold-heartbreaking tears.

No matter the amount of gold they receive they will go down in history for the first English class to not listen to the professor and leave college in hopes to find gold so they no longer have to be a college student. They also will be the first to be known for using a cool volkswagen and fitting all the students in one rig. There planned to be back on January 31 with pounds and pounds of gold, so make sure to check them out and see if they return as millionaires.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
