Students in an English 102 class located at Yakima Valley College are on the search for a brainstorm rumored to have all the answers needed for their upcoming assignments. After their weekly session of class on Tuesday, students left feeling overwhelmed with the amount of work needed to complete their homework. As a class, they banded together determined to find an easy way out of all the extra effort needed for their assignments. Instantly they had decided they would set out in hopes of finding the well talked about Brainstorm of Knowledge, located in the Sahara Desert.

Finding this Brainstorm is rumored to be extremely difficult. With the amount of rain the Sahara Desert gets yearly clearly this class has their work cut out for them. Even with that understanding they still are set in finding this Brainstorm.

Legend states that all one has to do is rain dance under the purple moon, which is only found in the Sahara Desert. To be able to find the purple moon the class must travel to the Sahara on the fourth Friday of January. It is rumored that the moon only presents itself as the color purple on the years that are even. Once the seekers of the Brainstorm of Knowledge find the correct coordinates and the purple moon is present, they must conduct the rain dance while chanting the chorus from the song: “The Knowledge,” by Janet Jackson.

One student who wanted to remain nameless was quoted as saying: “Ya bro, I just don’t want to have to think about it. If this brain-thing can give me all the answers on these writing assignments I’m all for it!” Another student chimed in: “This seems like the only way! These damn readings and SQRQ’s we have due every week are frustrating and take forever to do, and if all I have to do is some ridiculous dance and sing a song from the 80’s I will!”

From the looks of this bunch, they are determined to find the answers. Will they find the legend they have their sights set on? Will they be able to make it in time to get back to Yakima before the next assignments are due?

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
