On February 25th, 2018, at approximately 4:15pm, Burke Ramsey was picked up by authorities and transported to an Atlanta Police station where he is being detained by investigators in connection to one of the most famous homicide cases the country has seen. On December 26th 1996, Burke Ramsey's sister, Jonbenet Ramsey was found dead in her house located in the quite town of Boulder Colorado. Over the years the offender remained unknown, although many suspects had been named no evidence was strong enough to take to trial, until now.

New DNA evidence that had been obtained from a broomstick handle that was found at the scene has been tested for DNA, and the results are shocking. The Colorado Resource and Science Division, located at Colorado University, finished their type III testing of a broomstick found at the scene, and found a 99.2 percent match of Burke Ramsey. The blood was found at the base of the broomstick that was believed to be used in the incident. Many legal issues and loopholes prevented the testing of any evidence that had been preserved by the Boulder Police Department due to the case being closed for over five consecutive years. Since 2003 the Ramsey family had been "officially" dismissed from the case as suspects. In October 2017, new forensic analysis revealed that the original DNA actually contained genetic markers from two individuals. The first DNA marker was tested and analyzed by the FBI, but the sample did not match any family members nor the 1.6 million DNA profiles in the CODIS Index System. The broomstick handle had been recently analyzed by The Colorado Resource and Science Division to study how DNA dissolves under certain conditions over time. During the analysis scientists discovered two different DNA markers on the broomstick handle that had not been found before. The Science Division of Colorado University presented their findings to the FBI for further investigation. The FBI concluded a 99.2 percent positive match that Burke Ramsey's blood had been on the base of the broomstick. According to Boulder Police, it took several months to obtain a warrant to detain Burke Ramsey, and hold him for questioning. The Jonbenet case will official be deemed open on March 3rd, 2018, and will highlight Burke Ramsey, as a main suspect. As of now, Burke Ramsey, has not commented on the findings and will not answer any questions without his lawyer. It is unknown how long Burke Ramsey will be detained by authorities.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
