Chief Justice urges parents to teach their sons to "keep their hands to themselves" after molestation incident at South Park

On Saturday 29th of January , Aleem Mohammed, 18 was arrested on the following charges of: molestation of 5 minors including a 5-year old boy, public intoxication, sodomy and homosexuality.

This incident has shook the nation and placed the security of the Trinidad and Tobago at risk.

At a press-conference on Saturday 29th 2018, Chief Justice , Ivor Archie has expressed his concern over the safety of minors at public places where alcoholic beverages are consumed.

He displayed his intolerance for such behaviour by Mr. Mohammed at South Park after getting intoxicated by alcohol at Steel restaurant and lounge in which he proceeded to touch 5 male minors inappropriately. The victims' parents have stated their dissatisfaction with the security at South Park and the justice they received by the police service. Some even label Mr Mohammed as a "Rampant Homosexual"

On 6th of April, Mr. Mohammed will have his trial at The Magistrates' Court on 5 charges of molestation of minors, homosexuality, public intoxication and Sodomy.

The management of South Park have not issued an official statement regarding the incident but have increased the number of security guards on the compounds.

Mr. Mohammed as seen in the picture (courtesy Don Jacobson) is a form six student of Naparima College studying Science and Mathematics.The school nor the Presbyterian board have not issue a statement regarding the incident despite their views against homosexuality

The chief justice has urged all parents to watch over their children, and ensure that their sons keep their hands to themselves. He went on to say that such behaviour exhibited by Aleem Mohammed is not tolerated in Trinidad and Tobago and is not welcomed as he has tarnished the image of our nation.

    whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
