Devi Mahadevia, 21, Evan Shugerman, 16, and Josh Semless, age unknown, began walking towards the stadium several hours before the big game in Minneapolis because the treacherous conditions on Super Bowl morning meant most taxis and ridesharing services were not available.

Devi said: “It took just over two hours. The snow wasn’t too bad, it was only a couple feet deep in most places, but it was the howling wind that was the worst. Apart from that, it was a walk in the park.” Her young, less-conditioned colleague, Evan, didn’t find it as easy. Evan said: “It was awful. That was the coldest I’ve ever been in my life! I only did it because Devi said it would be fun, it might make Josh smile, and it would be an epic Faceversary story. I’m never listening to her again!” At one point during the journey, Devi thought that she heard wolves nearby, only to realize that it was Evan sobbing uncontrollably. Josh said: “No comment.”

Once they arrived at the Super Bowl however, their colleagues informed them about the Minneapolis Skyway System, an interlinked collection of enclosed pedestrian footbridges that connects all of Downtown Minneapolis, enabling people to walk in climate-controlled comfort year-round. Devi calmly responded by saying that she was looking forward to using it on the way back, Evan began sobbing again, and Josh continued staring straight ahead as if peering into another dimension.

As the three of them warmed up, and Evan was regaining his composure while making sure his beanie was positioned perfectly on the back of his head, they all gathered around to hear about how much their colleagues appreciate them and couldn’t imagine what life would be like without them. Lastly, before heading into the stadium, they took this wonderful group photo to commemorate surviving the trek through below-zero weather. This was the courageous, untold story of what three brave individuals endured to attend Super Bowl LII, to witness yet another New England Patriots historic victory, where much to Josh’s dismay, they came back to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles in overtime, 44 – 41.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
