On April of 2018, the students of the English 102 class went on a research trip to El Real Beach in Mexico to gather information for an assignment. Their assignment was to write an essay about the aquatic life of the ocean. Once they arrived at the beach, they began their research.
As the students were collecting information, one claimed to see a fin, "possibly a sharks fin." As the students got closer to inspect, they realized that this huge fin belonged to a Megalodon. Once they saw what kind of shark it was, they began to scream and run towards the shore, according to my sources. However, as they got to the shore, they noticed that the shark wasn't chasing them.
A brave student, who shall remain unnamed for safety reasons, went back into the water. "The shark began to talk and I literally died" said my cousin.....I mean the student that shall not be named. Apparently the Megalodon told the student that she just wanted friends. The brave soul went back to tell the other students what had happened and they cheerfully ran to greet and talk to the shark. When they had to leave, they decided to write their essay on their new shark friend.
My sources tell me that all those students got a check-plus-plus on their assignment when their teacher realized that her students were not lying about having a Megalodon as a friend. The class looks forward to having no assignments for the rest of the quarter.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
