LRM to expand team and sponsorship

Juliet Illinois, May 9th. Team owners of Loftin Rush Motorsports Dean Loftin, Jonathan Rush, and Kirkland Loftin held a little press conference this morning to announce some changes for next season and some new sponsor partnership for LRM and the drivers as a whole extending beyond Nascar. It was announced today that LRM would expand to 5 teams in its truck program for next season, ML Nascar recently announced a rule change allowing team owners the ability to own 5 car teams as long as their were 3 owners within the Organization and LRM is the first to jump on the train. The 3 owners of LRM are said to acquire the numbers and rights to all 4 Thor sport trucks (88, 98, 41, and 13) and 2 of their drivers, Maddox and Mason who currently drive the 88 and 98 trucks. In addition to acquiring Thor Sports ML Nascar trucks as it's own LRM also stated they would field a 5th truck team full time as well. Jonathan Stated, "We've been extreamly successful this season and I think we'll reach a new level of success with this 5 team deal, were all really excited".They have yet to specify a number for the 5th truck but we know all trucks will be full time Fords and all 3 owners will race for their team as well. As of now their are no plans to expand the Xfinity program as stated by Dean Loftin, "I think our Xfinity program is strong and we dont see any reason to expand it right now", Kirk added that "it's possible in the future to have maybe a part time 4th team but nothing full season at the moment". The other announcements from the team this morning included new partnerships with companies that will play a huge role in Loftin Rush Motorsports starting at Daytona next week. These companies will also play a huge role in their success as a whole. The companies joining LRM are Gold Peak tea (who sponsored Jonathan at JGR), skippy peanut butter, Old spice (sponsor Jonathan in cup, Canadian tire (sponsored Dean at Penske, Moon Pies, a stronger relationship with Body Armor, and finally Publix and Publix brands. Busch beer is also said to be the primary sponsor for Dean Loftin at Daytona in the Trucks series on a 1 race promotion.

    whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

    two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
