David Draiman, known for fronting metal band Disturbed, recently addressed the theory of earth being "flat." The theory, which has risen in popularity on sites like Reddit and across the web at large, theorizes that the earth is, contrary to prior teaching, flat and disc-shaped.

365 recently caught up with the "Down with the Sickness" singer in his native Brooklyn, New York at a local Dunkin Donuts to discuss his upcoming tour, where the frontman discussed the "Flat Earth Theory."

"It's ludicrous, honestly. Just Stop. You've all been Sickened," he says. "Anyone who believes in this whole prophecy that earth isn't a big, blue ball has clearly been Stupified. Anyone who has been in a science class, watched a documentary, done their research by reading books, talked to scientists -- even a minimal amount of research will lead you to the conclusion that the earth isn't flat."

It's a subject that, in recent years, the "Ten Thousand Fists" hitmaker has been doing his best to dispel.

"For some reason, it's a lot of my fans who are the most hardcore believers in this bogus theory," he continues. "I don't get it, and I truly don't know why they are so firmly rooted in this viewpoint. But, at the end of the day, whether it's flat or round, I've made a great career for myself on this earth, and I'm very excited to be on it. Earth is home to the greatest fans that I could have ever asked for; and, I think, at the end of the day, that's more far more important than preaching false prophecies about the shape of the earth."

Draiman plans to release a children's book titled "Open Your Eyes" (also the name of Disturbed's 2015 record) that teaches children the dangers of adopting false rhetoric as fact. The book, illustrated by Eric Carle ("The Very Hungry Caterpillar") is due out sometime in the first quarter of 2020.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
