Shortly after winning there friendly against LLAMA HAPPY DAY 4-2 The Shadows ventured on for there season in division 10. The Shadows set out with an organised back line but struggled in the opening games, however manager James Stevenson changed it up and gave the Shadows a more attacking mind set with their highlight being the 6-0 win midway through the season. They ended the season with the league title, the first trophy for the club.

We spoke to the seasons golden boot winner Josh Parker for his thoughts on the season “I feel we played well, there were some games were the manager said I was unplayable, causing the opposition so many problems, I feel we are really starting something special here and scoring and assisting is what I do and I can’t wait for next season.

We also managed to speak to the player-manager James Stevenson. “ I feel this is the start, I’ve come here to win trophies and yes this is one that perhaps on paper we should win, it’s a start and I’m very proud of the team, we played some great football and we are now potentially one season away form being able to enter the Ea Cup.
We also asked James for information on the injury of Kaiden Kalia “well he missed the whole season due to his torn Achilles but I hope he will be back some point during next season.

Overall an absolutely brilliant season for the Shadows, the only way is up for this team!

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
