Blackpool have announced they are on the brink of completing an agreement with an investment group that has lofty ambitions for the Sky Bet League One club.
It comes after a momentum week at Bloomfield Road as Owen Oyston has signed the legal form to state he is no longer in money interest with the club. That comes after investment group V Sport who now deal with money held a meeting with Owen Oyston last week to help get the club out of his hands.

club statement today from V Sport read the investment group V Sport plan to return Blackpool to the Premier League and rebuild the strong relationship with the fans and to get a full Bloomfield Road to aspects such as yesterday against yesterday's league opposition Luton Town.
“An agreement is very close to being finalised for an investment group to have an active and serious financial involvement in the future of Blackpool Football Club and other related companies,” it read.

The investment group has a three-to-five-year plan for the club, with the ultimate aim of regaining and sustaining Premier League status. The plan would also result in significant expenditure on player recruitment, the 25,000 revelopment to the stadium, the training ground and the redevelopment/expansion of other existing and new facilities.
We are Well aware of the issues that have beset the club in recent years, the investment group is determined to build up a strong relationship with supporters and bring out the exciting potential of Blackpool Football Club once again to what the club was like from day
one.

The Oyston family has been the subject of a continuing campaign by supporters seeking fresh leadership following the manner of the club’s fall from the Premier League to League Two.

Blackpool are hoping the agreement with the investment group will be completed within the next two week to start from step 1 again.

spokesperson for V Sport said: “This is an amazing opportunity for Blackpool Football Club to start growing back to its glory. The investment group is extremely ambitious and has the financial resources to take the club back up the leagues once more without a circus in the way.
We hope this news will be greatly received by the Blackpool fans, the wider general public and viewed as a positive and major step forward in the development of our club.

The investment group’s proposals are very exciting and will not just secure a successful future for the club, but also help to promote and strengthen the businesses and tourism in Blackpool, and on the Fylde Coast including the 3 local teams”

Former Blackpool director Valeri Belokon last month said he was working with the English Football League to overturn his owners’ and directors’ test ban so he could take control of the club. That is still in hands with V Sport but what the supporters don't know is, this has already been planned and accepted and everyone who is involved in the club know the club has been sold but has not been made to public notice by who, however there has not yet been an overtake date for when the change will take place, by margins this could take as long as the end of next season. But all we know is that there is a lot of hope that the club has been sold.
However there has been no statement on the stadium future in regards of the ownership with the Oystons.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
