Slavernij, dat ene woord dat je ouders vast wel eens gebruikt hebben als ze weer een keer moeten overwerken. Dat is natuurlijk geen slavernij. Slavernij is ongewild en vaak onbetaald werken of je wilt of niet. Als je ouders hun baan niet leuk vinden hebben ze maar pech. Hadden ze maar beter moeten nadenken voordat ze solliciteerden. Zij kunnen het immers ongeveer zelf bepalen welke richting ze hun carrière op willen brengen. Stel je voor, je groeit op met de vreemde passie en drang om later pannenkoeken te bakken, pech voor je als je slaaf bent. Voor je het weet poets je geen pannen omdat je weer een heerlijke pannenkoek hebt gebakken maar de voeten van je ‘meester’. En wat als hij dat nou zelf wil vraag je je vast af. Dan is het geen slavernij meer en laat me je vragen of jij ooit opstond met de gedachte: “Goh, vandaag zal ik eens even iemand voeten schoon gaan maken!”. Dat dacht ik al, niet. Het stamt echt in de kern af dat slaven zwart zijn want zo heeft God dat bepaalt. Heheh, lekker als je christelijk bent en zwart. Tegenwoordig is daar in ons kleine kikkerlandje bijna geen sprake meer van. Dus onthoudt het volgende als je weer eens onderweg bent naar de afhaal Chinees: Als je ouders weer eens op werk zitten, dan zitten ze niet met een ketting vast en hun baas slaat hopelijk niet met een zweep op zijn werknemers neer. Stel je voor dat dit het geval is, dan kun je nog altijd terecht bij de organisaties en de mannen in het blauw. Het is namelijk nog altijd een aandachtspunt, vaak in het buitenland. Genoeg gepraat en maak die plastic deksel open, het eten wordt koud! Smakelijk!

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
