Kid-Wicked finally loses after 53-straight wins

One of WoWs' most successful players has finally lost, ending an astonishing winning streak that lasted for 53-straight wins.

A World of Warcraft player named “Omatrya” did the unthinkable on Sunday evening during the Major League Gaming World of Warcraft preseason when defeated the seemingly unstoppable player “Kid-Wicked”.

Omatrya, on Elemental Shaman, took down Kid-Wicked’s fabled Death Knight and Demon Hunter in two sets. The fans went wild as they witnessed the fall of the game’s best player.

The loss is the first Kid-Wicked has taken since Aug. 15, which happened just a day after the game was released in North America. Since then, Kid-Wicked's main quickly establishing himself as the best player in the game with victories at three major preseason tournaments: Apex, CEO, EVO, PAX Prime, and The Big House 5.

In the past weeks, however, Kid-Wicked has had some close calls in tournaments versus a few different players: Jason “ANTi” Bates at The Big House 5, Eric “ESAM” Lew at Super Smash Con, Vincent “Vinnie” Cannino at PAX Prime, and Quezada at multiple events. Before Sunday, however, he always managed to pull through.

It could mark a new era for the game—or Kid-Wicked will bounce back. We’ll find when Omatrya and Kid-Wicked likely meet again at SmashtheRecord which runs from Nov. 23 to 25.

The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
