DUNN BENSON MOTORSPORTS AND NICK HOFFMAN JOIN FORCES IN 2019 SEASON.

DUNN, NC (December 3, 2018) – Dunn Benson Motorsports, a National Touring Super Dirt Late Model Race Team owned by Carlton and Kemp Lamm will kick off the start of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in 2019 with their New Driver Nick Hoffaman. Hoffman a St. Louis native will take over and is pumped at his chance to compete for a Lucas Oil tittle. According to Dunn Benson Motosports Nick Hoffman will be at The RhinoAg Super Bowl of Racing – Presented by General Tire will take place Friday and Saturday February 2nd and February 3rd in Brunswick, GA at Golden Isles Speedway. This will be the first championship points-earning event of the 2018 season, which includes a 50-lap, $10,000-to-win main event on Friday with “The Super Bowl of Racing” concluding on Saturday with a 60-lap, $12,000-to-win main event.

Lucas Oil Racing TV, a division of Lucas Oil Products, will broadcast “LIVE” both Friday and Saturdays events on www.LucasOilRacing.TV. Both events will also air on the MAVTV Network at a later date in 2019. After competing in Brunswick, GA, the Dunn Benson Motorsports Team will invade East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, FL for the 42nd Annual Wrisco Industries Winternationals – Presented by E3 Spark Plugs, February 4th-10th. From there the Team will head north to Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL for a Sunday Night 50-Lap $10,000 to win feature event to conclude the GA-FL Speedweeks tour for the National Series in 2018.

We feel confident we have the equipment to compete for the series championship and the best crew ever to give Nick the opportunity to show the country his talents on a National Series”, stated Kemp Lamm of Dunn Benson Motorsports.

The Dunn Benson Motorsports Team owned by Carlton and Kemp Lamm in 2019 will consist of several veterans of the sport including Gary Engle as the crew chief for Nick at the races, Kent Martin, Brady Lear, Danny Courtney, Ashley Myers, Red Fisher, Greg Page, Ralph Peiffer and Wayne Castleberry with each having selective roles either traveling with the team or support at the race shop in Dunn, NC.

    whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
