Today we learned that Goro Akechi from Persona 5 will be in Kingdom Hearts 3 as DLC later on next summer in 2019. The Western release of Kingdom Hearts 3 this January and the recently leaks have the DLC will be out this summer for both Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Goro Akechi has become a fan favorite ever since his debut in Persona 5 back in 2017. And we cannot wait to see how he will incorporated in the game.

As Crow, Akechi wears a princely pure white royal outfit with red accents and a red, long-nosed mask. The artbook states his mask motif resembles that of a medieval western plague doctor, but in keeping with Akechi being as proud as a tengu, it's also got a long nose. His image is a combination of a noble's attire and a uniform worn by cavalry or guards of honor. As with his Robin Hood Persona, it's meant to give the feeling of putting on the air of a champion of justice, with nothing to do with being a Phantom Thief, robber or burglar of any sort, invoking the image of being at the front of a stage to contrast the protagonist's image of being more of a backstage actor.

The official Persona 5 Artbook reveals that Akechi lives alone in a city apartment. His main skill is reasoning, and he has a habit of getting lost in thought during conversations. His hobbies include cycling (specifically, with a hybrid bicycle for easy turning in Tokyo), bouldering, and playing fashionable games like darts. His guidebook profile also states that Akechi always makes sure to try out the latest popular dishes in order to use food as a conversation piece. Waiting in long lines for this doesn't bother him. He uses his cycling hobby to ride around town, gathering stories to utilize in conversation with adults. Since he spends a lot of time with adults, he has a reputation among Tokyo’s famous hidden stores and high class restaurants, although in truth he has little interest in the food’s flavor.

Akechi has been a fan favorite among Persona 5 fans for a while. He’s a teenage detective that’s called the “Second Advent of the Detective Prince” in the game, and he eventually joins the Phantom Thieves in their crusade to change people’s hearts. Between the charming facade he puts up to his friends, his tragic backstory, and all that angst, he’s basically fandom catnip.

When the fandom first saw scans for Akechi’s appearance in Dancing Star Night as a DLC character, they were excited. Now that the trailer is here, they’re beside themselves. Akechi a character who is built as a deliberate foil to the Persona 5 protagonist—they’re both characters who have been unfairly maligned by society, but Akechi has been turned bitter where the protagonist is righteous. That contrast also makes them a fun ship, and they’re one of the most popular ships in the fandom.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
