D1A POM *means moving on to finals*

*Madison: great energy and what looked like a team Ariel however everyone this year has one so it didn’t really give them an edge

*Arizona State: lived the routine and was actually surprised by how good they were

*UNLV: loved it!!! great costumes (a long sleeve Leo which you don’t usually see in the Pom category however I thought it really suited them, music was also very good

*Iowa: I am confused, the routine was very strong but the music??? I didn’t think someone could like Iowa so much. The music repeatedly said “fight for Iowa fight” I would never fight for Iowa and I don’t think many other people would. I was very disappointed in this routine

Mississippi: didn’t watch bc it’s Mississippi

Kentucky: okay I don’t know what I was expecting really but I was disappointed. While Kentucky continually dominated hip hop their Pom lacks in all categories

Cincinnati: missed part of it but the last part had an Ariel (not surprised) and they energy was dying near the end

*Ohio State: team Ariel, they started with the greatest showman music!!!!!! amazing turn trio to begin the dance, overall team turns are amazing and music mix is the best I’ve seen. You could say I’m obsessed, definitely favorite routine so far, Minnesota better watch out.....

Rutgers: nothing special but a pretty cool split lift in the middle

*Tennessee: Oooo both sides team Ariel, high energy good team turns, good music mix, I really feel for the girl on the right that fell straight on her butt during the turns though

Memphis: team Ariel, very strong but turns were a little rough, omg a Pom toss didn’t know this was youth all star Pom....

Minnesota: team Ariel, very strong and high energy, songs were a woman mix which sticks out, turns were amazing per usual, nothing super special but a classic Minnesota routine I’m very satisfied!!!

D1A JAZZ (second half)

*Tennessee: beautiful as usual lived up to their name not surprised though. Content with this performance

Syracuse: mediocre junior all star routine at best, but not surprised because I didn’t even know Syracuse had a dance team until their name popped up on my screen

Louisiana: team toe-touch that looked like an A jump.. great. Whole team has to learn how to point their feet, music and dance matches each other’s intensity but not too hot

*Wisconsin: very emotional and you could feel it through the screen, different but I liked it. Turns were on and there were two turn sequences!!! Overall impressed!!!!

*Minnesota: beautiful routine as always and i has chills before the dancing even started but amazing. Not as many turns as always but not sad about it, the routine overall reminded me of Ohio state last year but I love it and they def came to win like they always do

Oregon: lots of ripples and very anticlimactic overall following Minnesota they don’t compare at all, not bad just doesn’t make an impact

*ASU: amazing turns but creepy music the straight breathes during the first turns really turned me off, overall great intensity and was nicely surprised

*Michigan: wow. This dance hit me, I felt every part of this dance, Michigan def didn’t come to mess around this year and this routine can get them a top 3 and maybe even top 2 finish I’m very impressed and see this team going very far, overall I loved this dance

*Ohio state: another wow. I didn’t feel as much as I did w Michigan but damn this dance was amazing, so precise and strong and the turns were so beautiful, definitely a great dance to win the category

LSU: serious question is this the same LSU dance from last year? The costumes are def exactly the same and the dance itself looks familiar not amused and the turns were mediocre, nothing special

Pennsylvania state: good turns, nothing special however. I really liked these costumes but the dance didn’t stand out

MSU: nicely surprised by how good this was, nothing amazing but a lot better than I thought it would be!!

San Diego state: good turns but same song as 58383 other teams which is a minus. Overall not terrible but nothing fabulous probably make it to finals but finish last

D1A HIP HOP

Michigan: omg this boy!!!! I think this was Michigan’s first time doing hip hop and it was pretty good, I’m proud of this team and they gave me mad Eisenhower vibes

Virginia Tech: this was so rough to watch, some hip hop routines should just never see the light of day and this is one of them, personally don’t like to see twerking if there’s no butt behind it

Kentucky: damn I vibed with this whole dance except there was a little too much twerking for my taste (but at least they know how to), however this dance really reminded me of their previous dance rather be, overall satisfied, good girl power and I’m thinking of a top three finish for them

San Diego State: a classic hip hop routine nothing special, very inside the box, they did the shoot and I think I vomited a little in my mouth didn’t know this was a middle school dance contest

Alabama: interesting Barbie theme however the routine was very similar to LSU routines, a classic hip hop routine and the girls can actually do hip hop, not my favorite but I was satisfied but one girl was so white I thought she painted her face white...a stray tan wouldn’t hurt next time

New Mexico: if one more mix has walk it like I talk it im gonna talk some serious shit this dance was just sad and there’s nothing more to say about it, last time that routine sees the nationals floor

Washington: the pants were one of the few things I enjoyed about this routine, there was a serious lesbian moment in the middle and I became uncomfortable this was followed by some twerking which was just not tasteful

Memphis: oh yes!! This dance was a hit except for the pointless reveal of their bras and the towels very distracting and unnecessary, the man dressed in all white crossing in the castle opening was also hilarious. The dance overall was very good I see this team going far

LSU: bzzzz here come the bumble bees what were those costumes, interesting music for LSU with the instrumental song but it worked, a cool partner lift in the middle but not a memorable dance at all, good overall just not a personal favorite

Florida State: OMG WALK IT LIKE I TALK IT R U KIDDING ME overall the mix after that song was very good I was bopping and the dance started off strong but went downhill from there with two bobbles at the end, however I really like the dance

Syracuse: wow my anger towards this dance is crazy, repulsive some would say, they included a dab... yes a dab in the middle of the dance I would rather put eyelashes on my eyes then watch this dance again. Enough said.

UNLV: wow that was beautiful nothing bad to say the girls the boys all beautiful as always, they lived up to my expectations and surpassed them, national champions?

Cincinnati: this team looks straight outta poland no joke, overall great energy and ending lacked but they will def make it to finals
