Washington DC- A new study has revealed that Republicans are lagging behind their Democratic counterparts in intelligence quotient tests over the last 25 years. Data was collected from 75 major state and university colleges where the tests were given. Students who were registered Democrats scored much higher on IQ tests than the registered Republican students. The average IQ of college students at major universities in America is 120, therefore the average IQ of most college graduates is 120 +10–15 points or 10–15 points. But the average IQ of the Republican students was 92, well below average. The fact that most Republicans tend to be white and that minority enrollment has increased every year since 1990 contributes to this trend. Minorities figure in to this as is shown by rising yearly college enrollment data and that most minorities lean heavily towards being Democratic. The percentage of American college students who are Hispanic, Asian/Pacific Islander, and Black has been increasing. From fall 1990 to fall 2015, the percentage of Hispanic students rose from 4 percent to 17 percent of all U.S. residents enrolled in degree-granting post secondary institutions, and the percentage of Asian/Pacific Islander students rose from 2 percent to 7 percent. The percentage of Black students increased from 10 percent in 1990 to 14 percent in 2015, but the 2015 percentage reflects a decrease since 2011, when Black students made up 15 percent of all enrolled U.S. residents. The percentage of American Indian/Alaska Native students was higher in 2015 (0.8 percent) than in 1990 (0.7 percent). During the same period, the percentage of White students fell from 84 percent to 58 percent. Race/ethnicity is not reported for nonresident aliens, who made up 5 percent of total enrollment in 2015. The question of why Democratic students are performing higher in academics remains.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
